not only do wikis make it easy to publish pages, they also make it easy for various people to contribute to pages, by enabling them, among other things, to easily add comments to and/or edit existing pages. the following pages are meant for this kind collaboration for particular purposes.

Cynthia Memories
cynthia carter passed away on feb 1, 2006. she was a dear friend to me and to many in washington dc and the extended contact improv community. this page is for collecting memories of her, both for sharing with one another, and maybe for distilling into a eulogy in the contact quarterly
DC Improv Festival 2006
i'm one of the volunteer organizers of the 2006 washington DC improvisation festival. now in its 12th year, but its second year since handoff from the founder and primary mover-and-shaker, maida withers.
DC Contact Improv Jams

washington DC has continually had a weekly contact improvisation jam for at least the last 20 years. i've been attending for at least the last 15, and brought the mailman mailing list system into production with the dc jammers as one of the two trial groups. (the other was mailman-developers, a more technically oriented group:-)

the jam is not run by any single person - everyone "owns" it, to the degree that they feel committed and are willing to take responsibility. i guess i've been one of the most visible shepherds of the sunday jam for a good while, now, though hopefully without prohibiting anyone else from helping to foster it, whenever suitable. more recently, a thursday jam has been added to the scene, at liz lehrman's dance exchange. john glenn, ilana silverstein, roger niece, and amanda abrahams have been shepherding that one.

the DC Contact Improv Jams page details the current situation of the jams, plus other resources for local jammers.
